We believe in providing a safe place for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking.
To us, this means not only meeting the physical needs of survivors, like housing and clothing, but it also means a place where women can receive therapy, case management, substance use counseling, life skills classes, and more.
At A Safe Place, we also provide training and education to our community in order to raise awareness about sex trafficking and to ensure that survivors get connected to programs and people who can help them.
We partner with organizations and companies in our community and build relationships with law enforcement, because the work that we do is only possible with a holistic approach and a genuine understanding of the signs of sex trafficking in our city.
A Safe Place is a 501©3 organization located in Wilmington, NC.
