Minor Prevention Program
The Empowered Me! Program, a minor prevention initiative at A Safe Place, is an after-school program for at risk girls between the ages of 11 and 14. Through mentoring and empowerment, it is our hope these girls will become strong, independent young women who are no longer vulnerable to exploitation. A Safe Place’s Minor Prevention programs are supported by The Cape Fear Memorial Foundation, The Landfall Foundation, The Corning Foundation, The Eshelman Foundation, and The North Carolina Community Foundation.
