Awareness and Action Trainings
A Safe Place’s subject matter experts train sector specific professionals, organizational partners, and community members on basic human trafficking information, victim identifiers, stigma and changing perceptions, the intersections of trauma, substance abuse and trafficking and how to safely assist survivors and connect them with programs at A Safe Place.
Community Trainings
Trauma and Trafficking – Learn about the link between trauma and sex trafficking to help change perceptions and decrease stigma toward survivors. Participants will develop a better understanding of survivors and how their vulnerabilities led them down the path to exploitation. This understanding will provide a more holistic and trauma-informed response to survivors in crisis.
Online Predators and Social Media – This training focuses on the way predators and traffickers target youth online and how to maintain a safe online presence. This training can be facilitated for parents or youth (age 11-16).
