Education & Training
A Safe Place offers community trainings on trauma and trafficking through regularly scheduled in-house sessions and by request for organizations, groups, and community partners.
Trauma & Trafficking Trainings
This training is designed for community members and volunteers who want to be informed about sex trafficking and how they can be a part of the work we are doing to support survivors at A Safe Place.
During this training, we’ll take a close look at what trafficking actually looks like in our city. We will learn about how it happens, who is most vulnerable, and the patterns we’re seeing right now. We’ll also give a broader overview of trafficking trends and how they shape the experiences of survivors locally.
From there, we’ll dive into the heart of our work: how our organization shows up for survivors through programming that supports, empowers, and encourages them. We’ll talk about what to expect when volunteering with us, how to engage well and how to build relationships with our members.
Email us at info@asafeplacetogo.com to register for an upcoming training.
